Privacy policy

Effective 18 October 2026

PianoFold collects no data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code in the app, and it sends nothing about you to us or to anyone else.

Your progress

Your stars, best scores and unlocked chapters are saved on your device and, when you’re signed in to iCloud, in your own iCloud account, so they follow you to your other iPhones and iPads and come back if you reinstall PianoFold. Apple keeps that copy in your account; we can’t see it, and nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. Progress made offline reaches iCloud once you’re back online, so deleting the app before then loses it. Signed out of iCloud, your progress stays on your device only, and deleting the app erases it.

Your settings

Your settings, such as the Room view, are saved on your device only. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app erases them.

The camera

The Room view shows the rear camera’s live picture behind the falling notes. The picture is drawn on the screen as it arrives and is never recorded, stored or sent. PianoFold asks for camera access the first time you turn the Room view on; if you decline, the game plays on its dark stage. You can change this at any time in the iOS Settings app → Privacy & Security → Camera.

Purchases

The Full Game purchase is made through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details or your identity. The app only checks with Apple, on your device, whether the purchase is yours. Apple handles purchases under its own terms and privacy policy, and may collect its own data about them.

Changes

If the app ever starts handling data differently, this page will change first, with a new effective date.
